...finding hope in Jesus Christ @ the vineyard on the hill.

Welcome to the Hope Hill Vineyard LLC . . .

Fall 2010 - This website is still under construction (as is the vineyard in many ways)!  Visit us again to look for updates and changes!   Thanks for stopping by, and God Bless!
Hope Hill Vineyard credits it's name to the person of the Lord Jesus Christ who has given us true hope and life.  We welcome you to stop by at the vineyard anytime.  We would love to share our faith and hope in Christ with you as well as enjoy some of the "fruit of the vine" (currently for "friends and family").
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time."  1 Peter 1

2010 Sping/Summer Report.

It has been a rough year for the grape crop.  A heavy frost in late May has taken out about 2/3 of our crop.  The frost killed the shoots that were about two weeks ahead of previous years due to a warm spring.  The secondary shoots did not produce as many clusters as the primaries, thus the loss of crop.  The rainy spring and summer have also caused some loss due to considerable fungus/bacteria developement.  The La Crosse variety is fairing well, the Steuben will provide some crop, but the St. Pepin looks to be almost a complete loss.  We will pray for things to turn around and for a better 2011.  Still looking forward to what we can do with the little we have.  We are thankful for what we do have and bless the Lord for his providence.

2009 Harvest Report.

This year was our first year with fruit to harvest!  What a blessing and well worth the effort and wait.  We had a light crop of about 1000 pounds of fruit off of all the varieties combined.  We sold all but 20 pounds of our Saint Pepin and kept all of the La Crosse and Steuben for home juice and wine making.  Next year's harvest should yield from 1-3 tons!  A SPECIAL THANKS goes out to so many friends who came to help with the harvest, crush and press.  You know who you are... we can't thank you enough for your kindness!

We currently have approximately 550 vines total including three varieties; La Crosse, Saint Pepin and Steuben.  See the About us section of the website for more information on our varieties.
